Language Intervention
Develop Your Child's Understanding and Use of Language
Service Description
Language intervention sessions are designed to support your child’s communication development by targeting receptive language (understanding of language) and/or expressive language (use of language). Receptive language goals may include helping your child understand directions, basic concepts, conversations and questions. Expressive language goals may focus on supporting your child in using their first words, expanding their vocabulary, improving grammar, and increasing the length and complexity of their phrases. These sessions are tailored to your child’s individual needs and aim to build strong foundational language skills for effective communication. Language sessions include 45 minutes of in-person therapy (direct treatment with the child and/or parent coaching/homework review) as well as 15 minutes of administrative time (session prep and documentation).
